Solution
Euvic has helped eBilet build an efficient and unique ticketing system. The system consists of three separate parts: the eBilet Portal, the eBilet Shop and the eBilet app. Each part is built with specific features to generate in an improved user experience and to handle heavy traffic when selling event tickets.
Shop
The shop consists of a ticketing system for all events published on eBilet.pl. Each user who buys sees a real-time map and can preview the seats in the arena where the event takes place. When selecting tickets and seats, the system records the information and transfers it directly to other users who can no longer select the seats just booked.
The organiser of the event can see in their event panel additional information about tickets such as number of free tickets, reserved tickets, sold tickets and who is waiting for payment. The system is built to handle and cope with a large number of users. Using cache mechanisms and asynchronous handling of transactions and customer alerts, users can, if necessary, be made to wait in a “waiting room” for their turn to enter and purchase, allowing the system to cope with a high pressure of users at the same time.
All components of the system operate in the Azure Cloud, giving customers the ability to monitor the service and respond to problems by dynamically increasing the resources needed to handle high traffic
Portal
The portal is built with an advanced information system that shows upcoming cultural events and has two publishing functions of its own. The portal also consists of two sub-pages and has its own publishing unit which allows it to publish content on the home page from the other two pages where it can be sorted by category. The application has its own publishing tool. The tool picks up information from the other two sub-pages and updates it on the home page.
Application
The app allows you to rate recommended events. Using algorithms, the user is presented with suggestions for recommended events based on their previous choices, increasing the chances of being presented with events that are more personalised. A search engine allows the user to find geographically close events.
